This is a box elder bowl with red ribbons covering both the inside and outside of this bowl. It is finished with wipe on varnish which is then buffed and waxed. You can place dry items inside this bowl but nothing damp. Also you need to keep it out of the sun. You can use a quality furniture polish to wipe this bowl as needed.
