This large maple bowl has skinny fingers reaching down towards the bottom seeking to connect with the other side of the bowl. On the outside the fingers are holding the bowl up. It is finished with a wipe on varnish which is then buffed and then waxed. You can place dry items in it but nothing damp. As needed you can use a quality furniture polish to wipe it down.
