Brenda Filer

Drawing, painting, and creating have been an important part of my life from a young age. As a school-aged child with undiagnosed ADD, academia was always a deflating struggle for me. Being artistic and winning contests during those years was a helpful way to redeem confidence in myself. Now, MANY years later and with three grown daughters, I am able to devote more time to pursuing (almost) daily painting in my studio. The two mediums I enjoy are acrylic and watercolor paintings. My hope is always that I will create a painting that the viewer feels drawn to in some way and hesitant to turn away from.

My husband and I live on a small farm in north Georgia with our donkey, sheep, and goat, and I love how painting has caused me to see the potential artfulness and vibrant colors in everyday objects, animals, and nature!
