KIND Apothecary

Natural bath & beauty was always an area I was passionate about - due to my sensitive skin, but it was my son's issues with eczema that prompted me to start creating my own products. I tried every product on the market, in vain, trying to resist daily steroid creams. So I started doing research and experimenting with making irritant-free soap in my basement. After seeing my son’s skin clear up so quickly, I knew what I had created could help other people too.

Soap was the first step, but soon I was making "clean and green" versions of everything our family put on our skin. It became apparent that this was my passion, and I needed to make it my life's work. Since I was able to design a product line and brand from scratch, I set out to do it right from the very beginning. My mission was to create great natural products, with eco-friendly packaging, and a charitable contribution built into every product sold. When trying to find the right name for the brand, the word “kind” really seemed to sum up everything nicely. KIND soap company was born in 2009 with a mission that encompassed three “pillars of KINDness.” To always be KIND to your skin, KIND to the earth, and KIND to others.
