The reason I paint is best expressed by the words of poet Philip James Bailey: “Art is man’s nature; nature is God’s art.”

Leslie Spencer’s art journey began as a child in rural New England where her love for the beauty of nature took hold. Now a long-time resident of Atlanta she has continued to develop her skills of drawing and painting from life in an attempt to capture her impressions of the beauty she sees in the natural world. 

Leslie is a member of The Brushwork Society, a collective of Atlanta creatives for the purpose of critique, encouragement and the development of our craft.
