Lorraine Kimsey

“Creating artwork in the warmth of the sunshine surrounded by the vivid colors of nature and the sounds of singing birds makes me feel at peace. I love paintings that are rich with color and filled with light. Being close to the beauty and richness of the world makes me feel close to God, and this inspires me to paint."

Lorraine Kimsey creates impressionistic paintings in her studio and en plein air. She has

studied art with several contemporary plein air artists over the years and counts the French and Russian impressionists among her favorite influences.

She is a member of the American Impressionists Society. Her work has garnered awards in local art associations and can be seen throughout the state of Georgia. Lorraine resides in Marietta with her husband and faithful sheepadoodle Bonnie.
