The world can sometimes be dark and heavy. I paint to be able to see past the obvious; to pay attention to all of the things in my life, big and small, that bring joy. The challenge is to find ways to connect the things that I love………crazy color, beautiful words and complex layers with my perfectly imperfect subject. What translates is a painting that doesn’t take life too seriously.

I hope that each time you look at my paintings you see something you hadn’t noticed before and I hope it brings a little joy to your own life.
