This is a cherry bowl with a band of new wood encompassing the outside setting a dark brown (old wood) circle and inside there are "pillars" rising up from the bottom of the bowl. It feels soooo comfortable when you hold it in your hands. Finished with wipe on varnish, buffed and waxed. Only use dry item in this bowl. When needed you can wipe it with a quality furniture polish.
